If you want twin strikers, the old 442 is the best formation to use. I suspect your chosen players will dictate which you use (ie does your league/nation/hybrid have a lot of CAMs or wingers).Ĥ. You still get the benefit of wide play but more options through the middle. 4231 narrow is also very viable if you prefer to play slightly narrower. 433(4) leaves you a little light defensibly - the caveat being if you use someone like Alli who has half decent defensive and strength stats in which case it can work.ģ. 433s are great - though the 433(2) is the best - meaning you cant really use a CAM which so many love to use. lobbed balls get cut out a LOT (again n assisted).ġ Narrow formations are not good - your very exposed to wide play which is so much better this year. Though balls still tend to be JUST over hit (on assisted).ģ. AI defending gives a lot less help - can only be a good thing.Ģ. Crosses add more depth to wide formations.ĥ. Wingers/wide men actually cut inside when you tell them to - making wider formation much more viable.Ĥ. Fullbacks dont leave you exposed when set to balanced or overlap (your formation would dictate which you use).ģ. If you think the game isnt fun at proper pace, and it needs to be pinball speed to enjoy it- go play something else.Ģ.

Pace - I actually think its slower than 17 - and I pray they keep it that way in FUT. Having played a lot of games on the demo - and with the caveat it IS a demo:ġ. I am by no means an expert, but had 4000+ games in 17, play in Div 1/2 and made Gold 2+ every WL. Seems I'm definitely not alone on this one, since bringing it up many others have agreed. Remember then even gentle through balls playes from deep would more often than not (not every time though which was odd) rocket their way forward, bypassing everyone to eventually be intercepted on its way to a striker. Very similar to a problem in 17 we had after an early patch. And there have been many instances my fullback has had the ball, i've aimed a pass directly at a player inside (and this has happened with that little arrow thing facing them as well) and it's gone to the player a little further up or further down the pitch. Just throws off any fluidity you have going. The balls meant for wingers going to my striker is the major gripe. Passes are going to my players for sure, it's just that it's not always the player i intended. The strange thing with the passing is my passing accuracy as such is very high - can't recall a game so far it's dropped below 90 percent.
